Juan Williams to discuss politics, media, life after NPR, May 26 luncheon

Fox News political analyst and columnist Juan Williams will speak about politics, the media and life after NPR at a National Press Club luncheon on Thursday, May 26.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Williams' talk will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 2 p.m.

Cost of tickets is $18 for Club members, $29 for guests of members and $36 for general admission. To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at time of reservation.

NPR fired Williams in October for making controversial remarks about Muslims. His dismissal set off a firestorm for NPR that led to Congress threatening to cut the news organization's federal funding; the resignation of NPR's vice president for news and, two months later, the resignation of its chief executive.

For Williams, the controversy only made him more popular among conservatives, and did nothing to dull his pointed analyses or dim his political insight.

To submit a question in advance, put WILLIAMS in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 11 a.m. on the day of the luncheon. Questions also can be submitted in advance and during the live event by sending them to @QNPCLunch on Twitter.
