Journalist, author to discuss jailing, Mideast turmoil, democracy in Iran, 10 am June 16

Iranian-Canadian journalist, filmmaker and former Newsweek reporter Maziar Bahari will recount his 118 days in a six-by-12-foot prison cell in Tehran's Evin prison at a Newsmaker at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16.

Bahari, author of "Then They Came for Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity and Survival," was falsely accused of espionage by the Iranian government. He also will discuss today's Middle East turmoil and the possibility of a democratic Iran.
