Humorous Speech Contest Monday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. in McClendon Room

Please be the National Press Clubs Toastmasters group guests at a special contest Monday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. in McClendon Room as Toastmasters practice humorous speaking -– extemporaneous and planned.

Toastmasters meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month, and all meetings are open to Club members and the public.

Toastmasters also serves as a platform to develop professional speaking and leadership skills, and is a great platform to practice delivering a policy piece or other technical speech. You’ll be amazed at the things people do and know.

Recent stories included a humorous story about backpacking a la the movie “Wild” and the adventures of being a new driver navigating L.A. freeways while on holiday.

If you like a good story and want to expand your own talents, please come and be our guest and see what Toastmasters is all about.
