Health policy and reform takes center stage at July 20 luncheon

Cleveland Clinic CEO/President Dr. Delos “Toby” Cosgrove will address a National Press Club luncheon on Friday, July 20 on healthcare policy in the wake of the Supreme Court’s historic Affordable Care Act ruling. He will also discuss how the Clinic is able to provide high-quality care while holding down costs.

As CEO, Dr. Cosgrove presides over a $6 billion healthcare system that includes some 30 major components. He has been with the Clinic since 1975 and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. His Press Club presentation follows on the heels of a National Press Club Newsmaker that predicted consumer confusion and continued legal wrangling after the Supreme Court decision.

Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning promptly at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $19 for Club members, $30 for guests of members, and $37 for general admission.

To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at time of reservation.

To submit a question in advance, put COSGROVE in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 10 a.m. on the day of the luncheon.
