Former WashPo Editor Jones offers career coaching sessions in April

Former Washington Post editor and Penn State University lecturer Jackie Jones will offer `spring cleaning' for careers in a four-week coaching session that starts April 5.

Career counselor Jones will discuss planning and assessing goals, updating plans and getting re-energized in sessions for up to eight people. The group will meet from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, April 5 to 26, in the Bloomberg Classroom. The cost is $80 for members, $200 for non-members. Payment must be received in advance to reserve a slot, and there are no refunds. Because space is limited, participants must reserve at [email protected] or 202-662-7523.

No matter your current employment status, these sessions will help you plan and prepare for the next level of your career, with Jones' attention on getting people launched and remaining on track amid a changing industry, and targeting the work that plays to your strengths. After four weeks, you'll be better recharged to finish out your 2012 game plan, write a cover letter or target job searches.

The sessions are part of the Professional Development committee's efforts to expand career-building offerings for NPC members to help them thrive in the current marketplace.
