Floyd Abrams plans to speak at NPC President Andrea Edney’s Inauguration, Feb 10

Renowned first amendment lawyer Floyd Abrams is the confirmed keynote speaker for President Andrea Edney’s Inauguration on Feb 10.

The Inaugural Gala will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. with the after-party in the Holeman Lounge. Tickets are $110 per person for Club members and $140 for non-members. Valet parking will be available for attendees. Click here to purchase tickets.

Abrams is best known for successfully defending The New York Times from the Nixon administration’s attempt to block the printing of "The Pentagon Papers". He also represented the Brooklyn Museum of Art when then-Mayor Rudolph Giuliani tried to deny city support due to an exhibition he called “sacrilegious.”

Also confirmed is the 19-person big band Swing Machine comprised of former members of the Air Force Airmen of Note, Army Blues, Navy Commodores, Glenn Miller Orchestra and other professional musicians.
