Expert panel to discuss future of Eisenhower Memorial, April 23

Architect Frank Gehry’s controversial design for the National Eisenhower Memorial has been the target of criticism by classical design proponents. Yet late last year, the design received preliminary approvals from both federal agencies charged with reviewing and approving the design.

A panel of experts from the Eisenhower Memorial Commission will discuss how the design has evolved, what its status is now and what’s next for the National Eisenhower Memorial at a Newsmakers news conference in the Zenger Room at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 23,
