Defense Secretary Panetta to address Club Dec. 18

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta will address what lies ahead for the U.S. military at a luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the National Press Club.

Secretary Panetta has led the Defense Department since 2011. Before assuming that office, Panetta served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency where he oversaw the operation that led to the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. Remarks begin at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session until 2 p.m. This event is open only to National Press Club members and their guests. Tickets cost $19 for club members and $30 for guests of members.
