National Press Club Luncheon VIP Reception Rules

One of the most notable benefits of membership at the National Press Club is the VIP reception for the NPC luncheons. As a member you have the opportunity to have a private audience or take a picture with the likes of Alec Baldwin, Angelina Jolie, Ben Bernanke, or Mitt Romney.

To make this exclusive member benefit a more enjoyable experience for members and a less overwhelming experience for our speakers, we ask you adhere to the following guidelines:

Any member who has purchased a ticket to a NPC Luncheon may attend the corresponding VIP reception.

The reservation window to attend a VIP reception remains open up until 48 prior to the event. To attend a VIP reception, a NPC member must RSVP to [email protected]. Space is limited, so please RSVP as early as possible. In your email, please write the name of the speaker and the date of luncheon in the subject line. Emails received after the reservation window has closed will not be guaranteed entrance to the reception - particularly for high profile and high security events.

A NPC member can bring no more than to two guests (non-NPC members) per VIP reception. If a NPC member is bringing a guest, he or she must email the name and title of the guest to [email protected]. If a NPC member would like to bring more than two guest to a reception, he or she may request a guest waiver for up to six guests. (Members are limited to one waiver per year.) The request must be sent to [email protected] and will be reviewed by the NPC president. Guests must be accompanied by the NPC member to the reception.
