Livestream starts at 1pm EST

Virginia State Senator Creigh Deeds, who is pushing in the Virginia legislature for mental health-care reform, will speak about mental health at a National Press Club luncheon on Monday March 31. Deeds, a Democrat, began his work on mental health after his son, who had a serious mental illness, died last year after being denied inpatient treatment.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $22 for Press Club members ( NPC Members may purchase 2 tickets at this rate) and $36 for all other non-member tickets.
