Chef & Author Dinner
Well-known Indian cookbook author and local DC personality Monica Bhide has written a novel entitled, "Karma and the Art of Butter Chicken." The Fourth Estate Restuarant is hosting a launch party and Indian dinner to celebrate Monica's triumph on Monday, December 12, 2016. Hors d’oeuvres start at 6:30pm; dinner at 7:00pm.
The five-course Indian meal will be from recipes from a compendium Monica is providing with all copies of the novel. Some of the dishes are central to the plot of "Karma and the Art of Butter Chicken," including the titular entrée. There will be beverage pairings (wines, beer, tea and Mango lassi) with each course. Fourth Estate wine dinners have been selling out and serving a full Indian meal in the restaurant is a real treat.
Single tickets are $80; couple tickets are $155. Members of the National Press Club get 15% discount. A copy of the book (one per person/couple) and a compendium of recipes are included in the price.
