On Thursday, February 11, Girl Scouts of the USA Interim CEO Judith Batty will deliver a live national address on how the organization has pivoted in their operations since the pandemic began, how they have persevered in this “new normal” and what we can expect from the organization moving forward, including the annual anticipated tradition of cookie sales.

This 1-hour program will stream live at 1:00 p.m. ET as part of the National Press Club’s Virtual Newsmaker series, and is accessible to both the media and members of the general public free-of-charge.

Judith Batty grew up in Girl Scouting, starting as a Brownie and continuing through the Senior level. As an adult she also served as a Junior Troop co-leader and is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts. She served on Girl Scouts of the USA’s National Board starting in 2014, and in August 2020 made history when she became the first Black woman to assume the CEO role at GSUSA.

Ms. Batty’s remarks will be followed by a moderated question-and-answer session with National Press Club President Lisa Matthews. Viewers can send their questions for Batty via email to [email protected]. Matthews will ask as many questions as time permits.
