Marvin Kalb tells White House “this far and no further” in March 14 commentary to be followed by screening of film Good Night and Good Luck

Legendary journalist Marvin Kalb, the last correspondent personally hired at CBS News by Edward R. Murrow, will discuss the threats to our democracy being posed by the Trump administration in a March 14 commentary at 6:30 p.m. in the Murrow Room. His remarks will be followed by a screening of the film “Good Night and Good Luck,” which chronicles Murrow’s epic rebuke of Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

Sponsored by the NPC Journalism Institute’s Press Freedom Committee, the Sunshine Week event is open to members, working journalists, and students. There will be a cash-bar reception at 6 p.m. Registration is required.

The forum is free to members and students and $10 for non-members.
