The clarion call of the Jazz Age sounded in 1919 at the National Press Club and across the nation. Prohibition began in DC, Woman's Suffrage was won, and women - barred from the all-male National Press Club - formed their own Women’s National Press Club. The Club was even graced by Royalty in 1919 when Edward, the Prince of Wales, made an appearance. American Legion Post 20 Candidate Forum
Candidates for National Press Club offices will appear at an annual open forum hosted by American Legion Post 20 at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the McClendon Room. All Club members are invited to join Legionnaires in hearing brief presentations by candidates for election. The 10 candidates for 2020 officer and board positions have been invited to discuss their goals, priories and qualifications and take questions.
