Party Like It's 1919 at The Reliable Source
The clarion call of the Jazz Age sounded in 1919 at the National Press Club and across the nation. Prohibition began in DC, Woman's Suffrage was won, and women - barred from the all-male National Press Club - formed their own Women’s National Press Club. The Club was even graced by Royalty in 1919 when Edward, the Prince of Wales, made an appearance. 2019 Silver Owls Fall Hoot
Seymour Hersh, the Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter who first wrote about the 1968 My Lai massacre in Vietnam and the 2004 physical and sexual abuse of prisoners at the infamous Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, plans to discuss the current state of American journalism at the Silver Owls Fall Hoot on Friday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. in the National Press Club ballroom.
