Reliable Source Annual Crab Fest
The annual Crab Fest buffet comes back on Thursday, August 15 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Reliable Source. Members and their guests are invited to sample crabs and a new wine list - what a great way to celebrate summer 2024! The Crab Fest is $45 per person for members and $50 for nonmembers, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are encouraged due to previous high demand. International Correspondents Happy Hour

Broadcast-Podcast Team Meeting with Ashley Carman

The Broadcast-Podcast team will have its monthly member meeting on Tuesday, August 27. The team serves as a forum for members interested in multimedia journalism, including radio, television, podcasting and digital. All club members are welcome to join the discussion. Ashley Carman is editor of Bloomberg's Soundbite newsletter and covers podcasting, music, audiobooks and related topics. Prior to joining Bloomberg, she was a senior reporter, producer and host at The Verge and got her start as a journalism major at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Join us for a tour of the Club’s Broadcast Operations Center (BOC) at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. Randy Hall, NPC's Director of Facilities and Media, will provide the tour. You will go behind-the-scenes of the magic that the BOC staff performs for Club events as well as satellite media tours, media training, webcasting, and TV and video production. The facility features two studios, two post-production suites and transmission services via satellite, fiber or IP.
