New Member Orientation
New Member Orientation will be held this month on Friday, Nov. 15 with two options to attend. Breakfast Orientation at 8:00 a.m. or Lunch Orientation at 12:00 noon Each session will be around one hour and will go over information about your membership within the club and benefits associated. The orientation is open to any member of The National Press Club that would like to learn more about their membership opportunities. Gloria Steinem, the feminist activist and founder of Ms. Magazine, will speak at a National Press Club luncheon on Nov. 18. Steinem is one of 16 people President Barack Obama honored this year with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. In her more than 40 years advocating for women’s equality, Steinem helped found the Women’s Action Alliance, the National Women’s Political Caucus and the Women’s Media Center.
