Who Needs Newspapers? A Report on the Status of Newspapers in the United States Are newspapers in America dying? Paul Steinle and Sara Brown are on a mission to find out. Since June 2010, the long-time media professionals have engaged in shoe-leather reporting by visiting newspapers across the country to take the pulse of a cross-section of dailies, weeklies, and ethnic and alternative publications.
