Join NPC members and their guests for the official opening of the 26th annual members' photography exhibit, Wednesday, September 3 at 6 p.m. in the First Amendment Lounge. All NPC members are again invited to display their best photography, as digital images or print photos, in the main 13th floor lobby for the whole month of September. As before, Club members may submit their original photography on any subject, but this year we plan to highlight images of climate change effects and mitigation efforts. Reza Pahlavi, the heir to the late Mohammad Reza Shah of Iran and Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran, will speak January 28 at a National Press Club Newsmakers event on the need for freedom and human rights for the Iranian people. National Press Club President Emily Wilkins will recognize journalist and communicator members for outstanding service to the Club at the Vivian Awards ceremony on Wednesday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m. The presentation will take place at the National Press Club in the First Amendment Lounge and is open to those Club members who are actively involved with one of the Club's 16 teams.
