"Codebreaker" Film Screening and Panel Discussion
On October 4, in advance of a premiere in theatres later in the month and a national cable TV broadcast later this year, NPC members and guests are invited to a sneak preview and panel discussion of "Codebreaker", an acclaimed new 53-minute film about Alan Turing’s heroic life, tragic death and lasting legacy. The screening and panel discussion will begin at 7 p.m., preceded by a ticketed reception at 6 p.m.

Olympic Opening Ceremonies Viewing Party
Join the National Press Club in waving the USA flag as the London 2012 Olympic Games kick off on Friday, July 27 with an exciting Opening Ceremony (Paul McCartney is scheduled to perform). NPC will be airing NBC's coverage starting at 7:30 PM. In honor of the host nation, the menu for the evening will be Fish and Chips. Additional snacks and beer, wine and soft drink choices will be available. Dinner will begin at 6:30 PM. The price is $20 for members and $30 for guests.

“Well of Dreams” is the inspiring story of Anne Okelo, a woman who is impacting a generation of young girls and women in Kenya, Africa. Ms. Okelo battled great odds to become the first girl in her village to graduate from high school. She went on to earn a scholarship at the University of Nairobi where she was one of just 3 girls in her graduating class. Through a series of events, Ms. Okelo obtained her post-graduate degree at West Chester University in West Chester, PA.
