Reliable Source Annual Crab Fest
The annual Crab Fest buffet comes back on Thursday, August 15 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Reliable Source. Members and their guests are invited to sample crabs and a new wine list - what a great way to celebrate summer 2024! Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in India's parliament, will speak at a National Press Club Headliners Newsmaker on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. His remarks will focus on Indian democracy, freedom of speech, and sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Gandhi heads INDIA, the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, a coalition of opposition parties that holds 234 seats in the Indian parliament. The group is about 30 short of a majority. General Membership Meeting

The National Press Club will hold a general membership meeting for all Club members on Friday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Rooms. There will not be a livestream, so please plan accordingly to attend in-person. Each attendee will be provided a complimentary drink ticket to be enjoyed with tasty hors d'oeuvres in the Truman Lounge immediately following the meeting. You must be a NPC member to attend and registration is required.

Prime Rib Dinner
Celebrate the beginning of fall with a Prime Rib Dinner and a glass of red wine on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the National Press Club’s Reliable Source. The 14th floor restaurant begins serving dinner at 5:30 p.m. Music by popular vocalist Renee Tannenbaum starts at 6 p.m.. National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Jennifer A. Abruzzo will join labor leaders on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. for a National Press Club Headliners panel to discuss the state of union organizing in the United States. Abruzzo will be joined by Brian Petruska, general counsel of the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA) Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizing Coalition, and Jon Schleuss, international president of The NewsGuild-CWA.
