Lee Powell, AP broadcast reporter and producer, will give practical writing tips from a reporter-turned video journalist. Registration is required. The Freelance Committee will be partnering with the History Committee to offer a tour of the National Press Club to current and potential freelance members on March 7 at 4 pm. The tour, conducted by Gil Klein, will cover the Club's storied past, view the broadcast and working journalist facilities, and discuss the features that make the Club so attractive to freelancers. "Act of Valor" highlights a specific mission with seven Navy SEALs to find an assailant after a terrorist plot results in the assasination of a U.S. Ambassador and his family.
