Reza Pahlavi, the heir to the late Mohammad Reza Shah of Iran and Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran, will speak January 28 at a National Press Club Newsmakers event on the need for freedom and human rights for the Iranian people. Despite being forced to live in exile, Reza Pahlavi has been a leader and advocate of the principles of freedom, democracy and human rights for his countrymen. He will speak about the widespread abuse and oppression of the Iranian people and the need to establish a secular democracy in Iran. The National Press Club will hold a general membership meeting for all Club members on Friday, January 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Rooms. There will not be a livestream, so please plan accordingly to attend in-person.
