The National Press Club will mark the anniversary of the abduction and detention of Award-winning journalist and Marine veteran Austin Tice on Friday, August 14 by unveiling a Freedom Clock that will display a dynamic record of the time Austin has been unjustly detained in Syria. This year's exhibit displays members' print photos and electronic images in the Club's 13th floor lobby from Aug. 30 to Sept 27, with a special opening reception on Friday, Sept. 6. The exhibit's opening reception is on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6:30 pm. This year's reception is a special event, and we're using the 20th annual exhibit to raise awareness of the Fallen Journalists Memorial supported by the National Press Club Journalism Institute.
