It's time again......to make plans to attend the National Press Club's Annual Children Holiday Party! We will begin at 11 a.m. with a great buffet which will include something for everyone....from Corn Dogs to Hamburgers to French Fries and a little bit of Fruit and Veggies. NPC Breakfast with University of Missouri President Michael Middleton
Michael Midddleton, the University of Missouri System interim president, will speak at a National Press Club Speakers breakfast on Tuesday June 21. Middleton was appointed to head the University of Missouri last year following racial tension and protests on its flagship campus. He will speak about moving the university forward amid a national conversation about diversity, equity and inclusion that was sparked by the protests. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s 'Lost' Speech at The National Press Club
Excerpts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s National Press Club speech will be aired for the first time since they were delivered 53 years ago at a special 7:30 pm event on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the Club's ballroom. In July 1962 Dr. King became the first African American to speak at the Club. An audio recording was made of the speech and filed away in the Club’s Archives and later transferred to the Library of Congress. No television footage of the speech in its entirety exists. The National Press Club Journalism Institute is once again partnering with landmark local book seller Politics & Prose for a night of pols, pundits and prose. Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert A. McDonald will address the state of the VA and the continuing efforts to improve services to millions of America’s veterans and their families at a National Press Club luncheon on Friday, Nov. 6.
