CANCELLED - "The Beer Pantry" Dinner at The Fourth Estate Restaurant
Note: This event has been cancelled. The Fourth Estate Restaurant inside the National Press Club plans to host a five-course craft beer dinner with special Author-Chef Adam Dulye on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $85.00/single and $160/couple and includes one copy of The Beer Pantry. You must buy two tickets to receive the discount. Club member’s receive a 15% discount on both types of tickets. Chef Dulye is expected to discuss his book The Beer Pantry.

The Fourth Estate Restaurant will feature a menu of Tunisian cuisine on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The dinner will come from the cookbook, "Discovering Tunisian Cuisine" by Judy Hallet, a documentary filmmaker-turned-author. She first discovered Tunisian food as a Peace Corps volunteer and returned to the country 50 years later with her husband Stanley, an architecture professor who had been asked to help transform the architectural design studios at a private university in Tunis. On Tuesday, March 7th at 6 p.m., a truncated version of "India: The Modi Question" will be screened followed by a panel discussion organized by the Indian American Muslim Council. After the BBC aired this documentary on Jan. 17, the Indian government used its emergency powers to ban it from being aired in the country. Solidarity for Shireen Abu Akleh
Veteran American reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed on May 11, 2022 as she was covering a raid near Jenin in the West Bank. A correspondent for Al Jazeera, Shireen had been covering events in the region for 15 years and was following all the protocols to maintain safety. She was in plain sight of the Israeli forces. She was wearing a vest clearly marked PRESS, and was wearing her helmet. But, despite these precautions, evidence indicates she was fired upon and killed by the Israeli military.
