Join us for a tour of the Club’s Broadcast Operations Center (BOC) at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25. Randy Hall, NPC's Director of Facilities and Media, will provide the tour. You will go behind-the-scenes of the magic that the BOC staff performs for Club events as well as satellite media tours, media training, webcasting, and TV and video production. The facility features two studios, two post-production suites and transmission services via satellite, fiber or IP. Calling all History enthusiasts! NPC's archivist, Jeffrey Schlosberg, is leading a tour through The National Press Club Archives to share our Club's history and the history of journalism in the Washington DC area. Enjoy stories told through collections of archival materials from the National Press Club, the Washington Press Club (formerly the Women’s National Press Club), and The Gridiron Club that have been preserved throughout the Club's history beginning in 1908. Prime Rib Dinner
Celebrate the beginning of fall with a Prime Rib Dinner and a glass of red wine on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the National Press Club’s Reliable Source. The 14th floor restaurant begins serving dinner at 5:30 p.m. Music by popular vocalist Renee Tannenbaum starts at 6 p.m.. The Prime Rib Dinner with a glass of red wine is $45 for Club members and $55 for non-members, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended. Oktoberfest Buffet
A variety of long-favorite German dishes will highlight the menu at the Club’s annual observance of Oktoberfest on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Reliable Source restaurant. And there will be more: Adding gaiety to the evening's revelry will be accordion player Russell Wilson. A member of the Marine Band, he often has performed at the White House.
