The clarion call of the Jazz Age sounded in 1919 at the National Press Club and across the nation. Prohibition began in DC, Woman's Suffrage was won, and women - barred from the all-male National Press Club - formed their own Women’s National Press Club. The Club was even graced by Royalty in 1919 when Edward, the Prince of Wales, made an appearance. Reliable Source Jazz Night and Summer BBQ Buffet
National Press Club members and their guests are invited to attend a Summer BBQ Buffet at 6:30 p.m. July 24 in the Reliable Source. The event will feature the return of the Greater U Street Jazz Collective, a group that performed at the Reliable Source Jazz Night earlier this month.
