NPC 20th Annual Photography Exhibit
This year's exhibit displays members' print photos and electronic images in the Club's 13th floor lobby from Aug. 30 to Sept 27, with a special opening reception on Friday, Sept. 6. The exhibit's opening reception is on Friday, Sept. 6 at 6:30 pm. This year's reception is a special event, and we're using the 20th annual exhibit to raise awareness of the Fallen Journalists Memorial supported by the National Press Club Journalism Institute. The National Press Club will hold a moment of silence in observance of the third anniversary of the murder of Saudi journalist and Washington Post Global Opinions contributing columnist Jamal Khashoggi on Friday, October 1 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Khashoggi, who was openly critical of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his columns for the Washington Post, was ambushed by 15 Saudi government officials inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and killed and dismembered on October 2, 2018.
