Freedom of the Press 2012: Breakthroughs and Pushback in the Middle East

The National Press Club and Freedom House launched Freedom House’s annual survey of press freedom around the globe on World Press Freedom Day, May 3, 2012. The survey, entitled "Freedom of the Press 2012: Breakthroughs and Pushback in the Middle East," was discussed by panelists from Egypt, Mexico and Hungary who also talked about changes underway in their countries.
