The National Press Club Journalism Institute and the club's Professional Development Committee look at campaign fundraising in the 2012 election and offer advice on covering the avalanche of money in the future. The session originally took place Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Panelists include: Trevor Potter, former Federal Election Commission chairman, president of the Campaign Legal Center and counsel for Stephen Colbert's Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow super-PAC Fred Wertheimer, president of Democracy 21 and a long-time advocate of overhauling campaign finance laws Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics Jonathan Salant, money and politics reporter for Bloomberg News and a former National Press Club president Thomas Burr, Washington correspondent for The Salt Lake Tribune, moderated the program
