About This Video

Run time: 58 minutes

In National Press Club's occasional "Author's Rap," former Secretary of State Kissinger discussed his new book, Diplomacy, about the challenge of changing U.S. foreign policy at the end of the Cold War and thus the end of a unique U.S. position of power in the world. He commented that the U.S. should always make sure that it has a clear sense of national interest before entering any delicate situation. He responded to questions from members of the audience.
