Shriver, chairman of the National Commission on Children and Disasters and vice president for Save the Children, joined with Craig Fugate, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to preview a report to President Barack Obama and Congress that proposes new strategies to meet the unique needs of children affected by disasters. Shriver and Fugate outlined the challenges for disaster planning, response and recovery.
