Guideposts for U.S. Foreign Policy

Sen. Moynihan, member of the Senate Foreign Relations committee, addressed the National Press Club on a coherent U.S. foreign policy for the post-Cold War world, which included three conditions for a U.S. foreign policy: solvency, economic stability, and openness. He went on to discuss these three factors in relation to the U.S. economy and the global political situation. Following his prepared remarks, Sen. Moynihan responded to questions from members of the audience.
