Mid-Year Budget Review

Ambassador Portman presented a mid-year review of the nation's budget and commented on economic issues, budgetary procedural matters, and the Bush administration's budget goals and priorities. Other topics included inflation, unemployment figures, the federal budget deficit, and the legislative line-item veto. He used charts for some of his presentation. Afterwards he answered reporters' questions. The program ends abruptly and is missing several minutes.
