February 29, 1988
About This Video
Run time: 61 minutes
Admiral Watkins discusses the need for government, business, and social institutions to confront AIDS. He says that the nature of transmission of the disease makes it hard to confront but maintains that the manner of transmission also offers an opportunity to control the spread of AIDS. Unlike epidemics of the past which struck randomly, the behaviors that spread AIDS can be modified.
