U.S. Health Care Policy

Mr. Gilmartin talked about the future of health care in the U.S. and the world. According to Mr. Gilmartin, the major problems are the rising cost of health care and medication, and the increasing number of people who are uninsured or have no access to care. He suggested that the goals for the U.S. health care system should be a stronger Medicare program that includes prescription drug coverage, accessible and affordable health care for all Americans, and providing higher quality, better value health care. Following prepared remarks, Mr. Gilmartin responded to audience questions, which were read by Ms. Lytle. ~This program is incomplete.
