Smarter Government for Florida and the Nation

Newly-elected Governor Chiles discussed the major budget cuts recently made in his state, due to Florida's legislative requirement for a balanced budget. His major focus was on what the nation should be doing for children, and how to pay for such programs. Governor Chiles is chair of the national Committee to Prevent Infant Mortality. Gov. Chiles was a U.S. Senator from 1970-88.
