Young Reviewer: 'Yum!' for Kids' Restaurant Week at Fourth Estate

Taylor Keane, daughter of NPC Membership Secretary Angela Greiling Keane, was the first kid to dine at the Fourth Estate this week for Kids' Restaurant Week, which goes through June 26. As the daughter of a reporter, Taylor was happy to answer a few questions about her experience.

Q: Can you tell us what is yummy in your dinner today?
A: Sweet potato fries and the chocolate mousse. All of it.

Q: What do you think makes it so yummy?
A: Because the people that made it practiced hard and worked hard.

Q: What would you like the Press Club chef to put on the kids' menu next
year?
A: I would put on pizza, lots of kinds.

Q: Can you tell the chef how to make that?
A: You would get flour and some egg. First you put on some sauce, then some cheese. You would put it in the oven for like an hour, I think. Then you take it out, and you eat it.

Q: In restaurant week, kids pay their age. How old are you, and do you
think that is a good price for what you ate tonight?
A: Five. Yes. It's a "little" price.

Q: Would you rather eat in a restaurant or at home?
A: Both.

Q: What's different about eating in a restaurant?
A: They know how to make different stuff. They make it fancier, and it's always good.

Q: What's your favorite food when you're eating healthy?
A: Corn, edamame, baked beans, watermelon and milk.

Q: What's your least favorite food when you're eating healthy?
A: Raw broccoli.
