This Week in National Press Club History

Feb. 21, 1999: Ex-wrestler and current Reform Party Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura says that third parties are important to the country, and the press needs to laugh more.

Feb. 23, 1955: The National Press Club admits women members of the press to the Ballroom balcony during speaker luncheons.

Feb. 26, 2007: Former Mr. Universe and current California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he wants another windbreaker as the appreciation gift for his luncheon address, but gets the last extra-large in stock.
