Tuesday: "The Endangered Newsroom Ombudsman?"

The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association's Washington, D.C., Chapter and the National Press Club Journalism Institute will present a discussion on the role of the ombudsman in a changing news business from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, in the Zenger Room.

Confirmed participants include Patrick Pexton, the most recent ombudsman at The Washington Post, Clark Hoyt, who served as public editor at The New York Times, and Lisa Shepard, former NPR ombudsman and current visiting journalism professor in the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies at UNLV. Tom Rosenstiel of the American Press Institute will moderate.
