Tomorrow: Book Fair & Authors’ Night

Get a jump on your holiday shopping with a perfect, personalized gift from the National Press Club’s 36th Annual Book Fair & Authors’ Night, scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The event promises a robust crowd of booklovers, journalists and politicos seeking the latest titles across the genres –- from cookbooks and childrens stories to history, sports, memoirs and mysteries -- and a chance to mingle with 100 of the nation’s best authors. You’re sure to find the ideal gift for a book lover of any age or interest.

The Club is delighted to be partnering with Washington’s largest independent bookstore, Politics & Prose, for this year’s event. “Politics & Prose offers an invaluable connection to the community of authors and book-buyers, and the Club is fortunate to have as its partner an institution held is such high esteem,” said NPC president Angela Greiling Keane.

The Book Fair is a fundraiser for the Club’s Journalism Institute, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that offers scholarships to journalism students, and research and professional development for the working press worldwide. Through our partnership with The SEED Foundation, the event will help develop the school library at the foundation’s Maryland campus.

Founded in 1984, Politics & Prose is Washington’s celebrated independent bookstore and culture hub. "We're delighted to be working with the National Press Club on this year's book fair," said P&P co-owner Bradley Graham. "The Club has done a terrific job building the fair into a great literary happening, and joining with them we hope to help make it even better."
