Tickets still available for Press Club Fourth Estate Award dinner honoring Andrea Mitchell

Tickets are still available for the annual Fourth Estate Award gala to be held at the National Press Club on Oct. 4.

This year, the Press Club will honor NBC’s Andrea Mitchell with the Club’s most prestigious award for her long career covering presidents, Congress and major events including Three Mile Island and the energy crisis.

Tickets are available here.

USA Today’s Susan Page, NBC’s Ken Strickland and PBS’ Jim Lehrer, a former Fourth Estate Award Winner himself, plan to regale the crowd with tales of their experiences with Mitchell over the years. Chef Susan Delbert is planning an exquisite dinner for what is expected to be a packed house.

The silent auction at this year’s dinner will offer roundtrip airline tickets to Hong Kong (with hotel accommodations), a weekend at a charming inn in the Virginia countryside, Redskin tickets, 12 months of baked goods delivered to your door from the Red Truck bakery, golf and tennis lessons, and more.

The dinner is a fundraiser for the NPC's Journalism Institute, the Club’s non-profit unit, which provides professional development and training services to the journalism community, and scholarships to aspiring journalists.
