Social Media Usage by Executives Is Next Topic of "Get It Online" Series

Senior executives are using social media to define their personal brand and achieve results. To find out how to do it, join fellow Communicator members and Vocus social media manager Stacey Miller for a special "Get It Online" program from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, in the Truman Lounge.

The event, hosted by the Communications and Marketing and the Events committees, are free for members and $10 for guests. Breakfast is complimentary in the Reliable Source. To register, please click here.

According to the 2012 Fortune 500 Social CEO Index, chief executives lag far behind the general population in terms of using social media, even though it can build a brand and create opportunities for a company. Miller will offer advice on how to start a personal brand that exhibits strong leadership, credible industry expertise and most importantly, results.

Miller's writing has appeared in Forbes, American Express Open Forum and the Washington Business Journal. In 2012, Oracle named Miller a finalist for its Community Manager of the Year Award.
