Sign up today: Learn how to convert print stories to video at Boot Camp, June 9

The Young Members Team of the National Press Club will hold a day-long training session on Saturday, June 9, for young journalists to learn how to turn print pieces into video stories.

The course will begin at 9 a.m. with a three-hour lecture on how to converting print to video for the Web, taught by Zach Toombs and Kate Grumke of Newsy.

The cost of the class is $10. Registration is open here until Wednesday, June 6.

Lunch will be provided. At 1 p.m., class will reconvene with a session on videography taught by Mike LaBella of Al Jazeera. Students will learn about the principles of videography, including basic camera functions, broadcast lingo and more.

Spots for the class are limited so students can have a more personal teaching experience. Please sign up early.
