Send us your best news, feature photos from 2016

The National Press Club’s plans to present awards for excellence in news and feature photography.

The contest will recognize excellence for an individual news photo and for a feature photo. The contest is limited to photos taken during 2016.

The winner in each category will win one free membership in the Press Club for a year. Club members may offer photo entries for free, while non-members pay $50 per entry. The deadline for entries is April 1, 2017.

The photo awards are intended to honor professional photojournalists who have produced outstanding work, either independently for news organizations or as employees of those news organizations. Non-traditional entrants are free to explain in supporting materials how they meet these journalistic criteria.

More information about the NPC awards contest is available here.

The NPC plans to honor the winners at an awards dinner at the club this summer.
