Seats still available to hear Ted Koppel on next 'Kalb Report' Nov. 19

Don't miss Ted Koppel, the longest-serving news anchor in network history, as he talks with host Marvin Kalb about "The Twilight of Network News" on the next edition of "The Kalb Report" Monday, Nov. 19.

Koppel, whose legendary broadcasting career spans over a half century, warned in 1996 that the "technological tail" was beginning to "wag the editorial dog." Now, 16 years later, the pressure to be first has sometimes superseded efforts to be accurate. Koppel and Kalb will explore what that means for the future of journalism, and in turn, the future of democracy.

The show begins promptly at 8 p.m. in the Club's ballroom. Make sure you are seated a few minutes ahead of time. Admission is free but seats are limited. Please reserve by calling the Club's reservation line: (202)662-7501.
