Sample Irish cuisine and Irish whiskey on Thursday

Whiskey from three Irish distilleries and a menu of Irish food will be served at the National Press Club on Thursday.

The event, co-sponsored by the Club's International Correspondents and Events teams and the Embassy of Ireland, begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Winners Room.

The drinks will come from the Teeling, Tullamore Dew and Glendalough distilleries. The food will come from Executive Chef Susan Delbert and include:

Irish Potato Bites (small new red potatoes with cheddar and corned beef)

Salmon and crab roulades (like pinwheels with horseradish sour cream, salmon, parsley and crab, rolled and cut into slices)

Corned beef quesadillas, (flour tortillas, corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut, cut into wedges)

Irish lamb meatballs

Club members are invited to join representatives of the distilleries and the Irish embassy.
