"The Ayatollah Begs To Differ: The Paradox of Modern Iran" by Hooman Majd, an Iranian-American writer who is the grandson of an eminent ayatollah and the son of an Iranian diplomat, will be discussed at Books & Brunch at noon Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Fourth Estate Restaurant.

Selected by The Los Angles Times and The Economist as among the best books of 2008, "The Ayatollah Begs to Differ" is in paperback with a new preface that contains observations by Majd about the disputed June 2009 election based on his visit to Iran in the period leading up to the vote.

Books & Brunch is open to NPC Members and meets monthly on Saturdays in the Fourth Estate Restaurant.
