Ron Edmonds to Present Pulitzer Photos at Noon, Oct. 28

Ron Edmonds, recently retired AP senior White House photographer, will present copies of his trilogy of Pulitzer Prize-winning photos to the NPC when he speaks to the Photography Committee at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Zenger Room.

Edmonds' photos of the Reagan assassination attempt in 1981 won the 1982 Pulitzer Prize for spot news photography. The photos will hang on the NPC's walls.

Edmonds will also talk about his photography career, including his 28-year tenure with the Associated Press. For the AP, Edmonds covered the White House, summits, inaugurations, shuttle launches, summer and winter Olympics, and international stories around the world. Edmonds also photographed every U.S. president from Nixon through Obama.

After Edmonds' presentation, the Photography Committee members will have lunch in the McClendon Room at 1 p.m.

All NPC Photography Committee meetings and events are open to all NPC members. No reservations are required for this free event.
